COUPLES THERAPY

Couples therapy is a type of psychotherapy (“talk therapy) that focuses on couples or partners as a treatment unit. The focus of couples therapy is to improve conflict management and  communication and to work on exploring underlying issues that impact the relational dynamic.

Couples therapy sessions are a collaborative and dynamic process in which I work with clients (couple/partners) to identify patterns of behavior and interpersonal values and develop strategies to improve intimacy and connection. I draw from various common couples therapy modalities such as EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy), Gottman and Imago to inform the work done in session.
